Activities
A&S Championship Display Their Majesties invite and encourage all artisans of this fair Sylvan Kingdom of AEthelmearc to attend and participate in a competition to select their Arts and Sciences Champion. Their Majesties have selected largesse as the theme of this competition. Artisans are requested to bring an entry item (or items) that will be donated to the Kingdom. These items can be anything ranging from a contribution to a gift basket, scroll blank, award tokens to Kingdom regalia. In addition, this year AEthelmearc will be giving a gift basket to the Kingdom of the Outlands, therefore anything appropriate for this purpose is also welcome.  A brief explanation of the item is requested, but need not be more than a 3x5 card.  Attendance by the entrant is not required and entries may be sent via proxy. The populace is encouraged to drop by and examine the entries  Barn Sat 11am - 4pm

Artisans' Row Artisan's Row will give artisans and scientists the opportunity to demonstrate, share, and teach hands-on their particular skills in a smaller, more intimate, and more informal setting. It's also a great forum for artisans, scientists, and those interested in the arts and sciences to network, share ideas, and collaborate. This format provides greater opportunities for collaboration and learning across the Kingdom. Where an Artisan's Row differs from a Forum is that instead of it being a display, it is an active demonstration of the artisan's skill. With the new format, it is more encouraged to share the work of the individual in an active way. For example: if you do inkle weaving, bring your loom and your most current project and show what it is that you do. You are not required to actively teach anyone, so don't worry about providing additional materials for others if this is not something that you are comfortable with. If you are comfortable with giving people the opportunity to participate, bring materials to share. the subject header.  There will be display space (two tables) for those that are not able to participate in the Artisan's Row.   Barn Sat Noon - 2pm

Queen Tessa's Workshop We will be working on a number of projects for the kingdom.  People are welcome to come and help or to bring their own projects.  We will have escarbuncle silk screens (thanks to Mistress Aleea) and some stencils available, for people to use (or we can use it on fabric that they provide).  We would love to see more escarbuncles showing Our Kingdom pride on and off the field.  We also will have award medallions to be painted, since we are out of Silver sycamores.  We will have spear and regular pennants to be painted and ties sewn on.   If any of our combat archers are there, we will have space to work on making and repairing combat missiles.  Please bring your missiles and We can work on them, together.  If anyone wants to learn how to make them, they are welcome to learn.

We have various minor projects that We could use help on as well.  If anyone has specific skills that they would like to share with Our kingdom, please let Us know and We will gladly accept the assistance.

We are hoping that some of our Bards will come by and entertain Us while everyone is hard at work, since good entertainment always makes the time go by faster.

S.A.S.S. Fundraiser

At War Practice, there will be a fundraiser near the S.A.S.S pavilion. That will go on before the battles for the day. This message goes out to fighter and non-fighter alike. If any fighter wish to participate they only need to find me or one of my other helpers (near or at the pavilion) , place a monetary donation (of your choice) into the jar, and face us on the field. Your donation entitles you to three honorable passes. Win or lose, you help out a great cause that helps you back, so it's a win win. The Members of S.A.S.S are the great gentles that hand out nibbles to all us fighters at the larger events like War Practice and Pennsic. If you have ever been hot and in need of something like olives or pickles, they are there. I can be found by my arms; Per pale azure and Or, a horse rampant contourny counterchanged, a chief ermine.
